Hibiscus Salt

How to make hibiscus salt. Hibiscus salt is good on meat, fish, or eggs. And, once bottled, makes for a fun gift.

Start with a bag of dry hibiscus flowers. Rehydrate the flowers fully by soaking them in water. Then, dry the rehydrated flowers under an oven fan until the flowers are damp to the touch, but not dripping wet. In a spice-grinder, grind the flowers with the coarse sea salt. Dry the ground mixture overnight under an oven fan. In a spice-grinder, grind the dry mixture.

Bottle and store in a cool, dry place.
